The 'Ethereal' collection is a unique range of handcrafted porcelain ceramics for contemporary living, combining aesthetic beauty with functionality. The inspiration for this range is drawn from the simple feminine form of a flower before it opens. I use layers of white and coloured porcelain slip which once casted are individually 'scraped away' to reveal a band of colour, the colour being evocative of the petals emerging from a bud. Each piece is then polished to a smooth elegant tactile finish. All are created to compliment one another, with the attractive feature that no two pieces are exactly alike.
